i'll spare you my various opinions on the captivity of wild animals, but suffice it to say i was troubled by conditions at this zoo. that said, i did enjoy myself, and managed to not let myself get bent out of shape about it all. but not as much as this kid:
:) yeh, i try really hard not to express my opinions of zoos...so as not to spoil the experience i suppose. Its a huge delimma....everyone tells me the animals are all bred in captivity so could not survive in the wild...and then again our children would never be able to see some of these wild animals if not for zoos...but im just not sure those 2 things justify the entire setup. Maybe if it were only rescued animals I could feel better...but i dont know. If i were injured and rescued by aliens only to kept caged, im not sure i would want to be rescued. Nevertheless, it was great to spend time with you guys and hope to see you soon. :)
